This hairstyle is a fun and flirty way to put your hair up. It even adds in faux bangs and incorporates braids in the back for a unique “twist” on the messy bun.
Begin by pulling most of your hair into a relatively high ponytail. Leave two sections on each side in the back to make the braids. Take a hair clip and pin the end of the ponytail to the side for now. With each back section of the hair, make a small, tight braid. Each braid will then be brought up and forward. The section of your ponytail that you clipped to the side will be brought forward to make a faux bang. After arranging the bang, use the braid to wrap around the front of the bun and secure with a pin. This will hold the bang section in place as well as frame the bun. Complete the second braid and do the same, wrapping it around the bun and securing it as well.
In order to make the bun have more volume, gently pull and tease the strands just enough to make the bun fuller. Secure any loose strands with a pin and you’re ready to go!
