Apple juice works wonders for hair and scalp. It balances the scalp’s ph, makes hair more manageable and reduces itchy scalp and dandruff.
Apple juice contains malic acid and amaylase (a natural exfoliator), which works to clean the scalp by removing dry dead skin and dandruff. So using apple juice as a rinse is a great way to get a fresh clean scalp and hair.
The acidity of apple juice helps remove product buildup. Like lemon juice, it also aids in flattening the cuticles—the outer layer of hair—resulting in smooth and shiny hair.
When used regularly in your natural hair care routine, an apple juice treatment will make your hair super soft and boost your hair’s body and shine.
As a hair rinse, the juice will help you maintain your hair’s natural pH balance.
To make an apple juice rinse, first extract the juice from 1 apple, mix it with 1 cup of warm water, and use as a final rinse after shampooing your hair. Leave the juice on hair for about ten minutes, and then wash with warm water. Use the rinse for a week, every other day, to relieve hair itchiness and to get rid of dandruff. A difference in how the hair appears will be noticeable if use the cleanser regularly.
