Delicious Breakfast Meal for Healthy Hair

While considering the fact that vitamin supplements are suggested to stimulate and promote growth while helping to maintain healthy hair, one forgets that those supplements can be obtained naturally and be more enjoyable simultaneously. Say goodbye to those stale vitamin packs and horrible tasting drinks with empty promises.

We have all heard that the best way to start the day is with a good breakfast and here is a breakfast I have discovered that packs a serious nutritional punch, has natural sweetness and spice from raw ingredients and the leftovers (if there are any) can be used as a mask for the scalp that have added benefits to stimulate hair growth while promoting general healthy and glowing hair. Before we get to the recipe, let’s discuss the benefits of the ingredients. After all, knowing what’s in your food and products while understanding the role they play is one of the benefits of a natural lifestyle.

Kiwi is tiny but has serious healing power for the skin, hair and nails. The Vitamin C & E content of the fruit fights against hair loss. Kiwi also contains phosphorus, magnesium and zinc. These minerals help stimulate blood circulation which also speeds up the hair growing process. Those little seeds have an ability to hydrate hair as well because of a high omega-3 content. One kiwi fruit contains about 64mg of Vitamin C which also helps the formation of collagen on the scalp which increases the ability to absorb other nutrients. Last but certainly not least are the copper and iron found in kiwi which increase hair health by maintaining the natural color of your hair and act as a stimulant to your hair follicles.

Oranges are also rich in Vitamin C and are great to eat all by themselves as a raw, sweet and convenient snack. When the oranges are added in this recipe, they help by stimulating hair growth. Insonitol and folic acid (both are different forms of Vitamin B) work together to combat hair loss while stimulating hair growth and the Vitamin C works hand -in-hand with bio flavonoids that increase circulation in the scalp. Combine these two fruits with the Vitamin B, iron, potassium, omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids found in dates and walnuts to make a delicious breakfast that promotes overall health as well as stimulating healthy hair growth.

  • 3 ripe kiwi, approximately 2” in diameter
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 75 gr walnuts (2.7 ounces)
  • 75 gr pitted dates (2.7 ounces)


  • Soak the walnuts & pitted dates overnight
  • Blend the kiwi & oranges with the cinnamon
  • Blend the walnuts, dates and fruit mixture together.
