Feed Your Hair with this Delectable Citrus, Banana and Kiwi Raw-Vegan Cake

There are numerous benefits for your hair contained within the ingredients included in this delicious recipe. The combination of the valuable fruits, nuts, natural sweeteners and oils will make your hair luxuriously soft and healthy. Having shared this cake with my family, the many compliments I received ensure that this will be a great addition to your recipe list.

For starters, the citrus fruits you’ll be using have several hair boosting benefits. Citrus fruits contain a valuable vitamin called inositol. It is favored for lowering cholesterol and fats within your body. Another amazing benefit is that it helps stop the thinning of your hair as well. The inclusion of banana into the recipe also boosts your potassium levels which will increase your resistance to hair thinning and loss. For unsurpassed shine and strength, adding in beneficial ingredients like nutritious cashews and coconut oil will yield amazing results. In addition to being delicious, you will be pleased with the condition of your hair by incorporating these valuable foods into your diet.

To make the cake, start by adding two layers of sliced banana in the bottom of a spring form pan. This will make the delicious base for your cake. Next, you will make the cream. All of the ingredients can be easily processed in your blender into a rich, delicious cream.

You will need 250 grams (or about 8.8 ounces) of cashews that have been soaked for at least six hours. Add 100 ml (about 3.4 ounces) of lemon juice. You should be able to extract the proper amount from one to two lemons, depending on their size. Include 100 ml (again, 3.4 ounces) of orange juice from one large orange, ½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 3-4 tablespoons of honey depending on your preference and finally, 7 tablespoons of coconut oil that has been gently melted in a bain-marie. To process the mixture into a cream, start off by processing the cashews in a blender with the two citrus juices and the vanilla extract. Next, add in the honey and coconut oil and process again. Pour the cream overtop of the banana slices and place the pan into your freezer for 1-2 hours.

To add even more hair nourishing benefits, you can slice kiwi, which is known for its hair and scalp strengthening properties, and place them on top of the cake, pushing them gently into the cream. Lastly, sprinkle some fresh, shredded coconut flakes on top. When you are ready to serve, be sure to allow 2-3 hours in the refrigerator for the cake to be ready. Remove the cake from the pan and place on a serving plate and it will be ready to present for indulging. You could even sprinkle a little shredded coconut around the base of the cake on your serving plate for a lovely presentation.

Nourishing your hair by adding beneficial ingredients like the ones in this cake are a great way to improve the health, shine and strength of your hair.
